Our new creative offer
Neil Baker and Martin Lee invite you to join Street Wisdom. It’s a simple practice of a specific way of mooching - or bimbling, pottering, flanneuring or just mindfully wandering - around an urban environment with a meaty question in mind, trusting the streets to provide the answer you need.
Martin and Neil have both found it to be an incredibly insightful and practically useful tool in their creative and working lives. They mentioned Street Wisdom to a few folks at our recent summer gathering. Their enthusiastic curiosity has inspired us to run a session on the streets of London.
You’ll be able to try the practice with us and a small group of writerly folk. And you’ll learn how to use it in future on your own.
The plan is to gather at a central London location at 2pm on September 16th with an aim to finish around 5pm. That includes time for a friendly debrief in a local pub, which is an essential part of the practice.
We’ll tell you the exact location soon, but it will be conveniently near a tube station.
A lovely tradition with Street Wisdom is that the practice is freely shared. So we will invite you to make a voluntary contribution to Dark Angels of either £20, £40 or £60, depending on what you find reasonable.
