Work in Progress: Olwen Moseley
A special online event with writer Olwen Moseley on February 17th.
We often get to hear writers talking about their books, but normally that only happens when they’ve finished the thing and seen it published. Olwen is giving us a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and hear about a book that’s still a work in progress.
The book is a fascinating one about a family living in Monmouthshire in the 1800s. It’s fiction, but it’s based on the lives of four very real young women – all cousins, all with fascinating stories, yet all long forgotten, until Olwen found them in her research.
These four extraordinary women were lost to history, says Olwen, “but they seem to have found me, and I feel compelled to tell their stories and give voice to their whispers.”
Olwen will talk in more depth about the work she’s done to uncover the lives of these women and the times they lived through.
So, please join us at 7pm on Tuesday, February 17th for an hour. Olwen will talk about her project for a while, and there will be room for questions. It’s a free gathering.
Register here in advance to attend and Zoom will send you a link.
We hope you can join us for what we think will be a very special hour.
